Presidential elections are held on February 19th

The elections will be held on 19 February for the post of President. The election of the President will be held in the 19th session of the parliament by the vote of the MPs. Law Minister Anisul Haque said this in the first light.

Present President. Abdul Hamid's expires on April 23 this year. The Election Commission has already started preparations for the presidential election. The commission will officially announce the schedule after meeting with the speaker.

On behalf of the Election Commission, the government has been informed that the presidential election will be held on February 19.

Members of the Jatiya Sangsad on February 19 will make an open election in the presidential election. Public counting will also be counted. The 21st President of the country will be elected by the parliament members from 2 to 5 in the day. If there is a single candidate for the post of president, no vote will be required. If you have more than one candidate, then you will vote. In this case the candidates will get a lottery if they get the same vote. The Election Commission's final decision on the election is final.

According to the law, the counting of the presidential election will begin on 24 January (Wednesday). The elections will be held within the next 30 days from that day on 22 February.

On 23 April 2013 the present President took office. Abdul Hamid His five-year tenure ends on 23 April. And according to the constitution, the presidential election will be held between the 90 days and sixty days from the end of the expiration.

According to Article 123 (1) of the Constitution, the election will be held to fill the vacant post within 90 to 60 days from the date of expiry of the term due to termination of the term of the President.
