Hema Budaraju said that Facebook is launching this service in Bangladesh to simplify the donation process. Bangladesh is the second country in this field. Prior to this, Facebook launched the donation process in India in October. Nearly six million donors signed up with this process.

Hema Budaraju said, there is lack of blood donor in Bangladesh. There is a lack of awareness about this. Facebook's service will make people aware of it as well as making blood easier to receive.
